Protect Your Charleston Home
Termite Control Solutions
We specialize in controlling Formosan and Eastern Subterranean termites, using pet-and human-safe solutions including Boracare for new construction, remediation, and barriers to prevent infestations.
Termites are attracted to moisture and can detect it from a long distance. Leaky faucets, faulty roofs, or moisture problems around your property can invite infestations. That’s why a professional termite solution and a termite agreement are essential for every Charleston home or business.
Peace Of Mind With Termidor®
Our experience shows that Termidor® is one of the most effective termite treatments available. It kills termites where they live, either through consumption or contact. Termites do not detect the solution, ensuring a complete barrier for current and future infestations.
The Termidor Transfer Effect™ ensures that termites carry the solution back to their colony, eliminating multiple members and making the treatment highly effective.
How We Can Help
Our termite inspections assess both visible damage and conditions that attract termites, such as excess moisture or rotting wood. Typical termite eradication includes:
- Professional treatment and barrier application
- Removal of infested materials when necessary
- Moisture control to prevent recurrence
Do You Suspect Termite Damage To Your Property?
Don’t let termites fool you into thinking your property is an all you can eat buffet!
If you are seeing small, pencil-width holes in your home’s wood, you likely have a termite problem. If you suspect that you have a termite problem, there are some things you can look for to confirm your suspicions. One sign of termite damage is mud tubes on the exterior of your home. These tubes are made by termites as they travel their underground nests to the wood they eat. Another sign of termite damage is wings left behind after the termites have mated. If you see these signs, it is best to call a professional to assess the extent of the damage and take steps to fix it.

CL-100/WIR Termite Inspections
Protecting your home from termites is a must-have in the Charleston area and surrounding counties.
If you want a CL100 (Official South Carolina Wood Infestation Report), also called a WIR, then Carolina Exterminating is your answer. We offer Wood Infestation Reports (WIR) and CL-100’s, which are valid for 30 days, and generally are a requirement when buying, selling, or refinancing a home.
PLEASE NOTE:
A CL-100 is not a stand-alone service, it is a thorough inspection of your entire property prior to treatment and bonding. This valuable inspection provides you the homeowner and us with all the information we need to deal with a current termite issue and can bring to light any possible old or new damage caused by termites.
A CL-100/WIR informs the buyer or lender of a home about existing damage. Carolina Exterminating goes above and beyond a basic report by:
- Taking digital pictures
- Inspecting the entire structure for termites, other wood-destroying insects, fungi and moisture levels
- Providing wood moisture readings
- Pulling back insulation around plumbing penetrations
- Identifying all conducive areas in the home
- Including a detailed construction graph of the structure
- 24 hour or less between the inspection and when we email the report
